What we do

Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, Inc. (VNOC) was established in Lawrence, MA in 1985 as a storefront operation, staffed largely by volunteers, to provide support and advocacy to Vietnam Veterans.

Today, VNOC provides a full continuum of care to Veterans and their families in Essex, Middlesex and Barnstable Counties in Massachusetts and Rockingham County in New Hampshire.

Our Mission: “We strive to provide the highest quality of professional services to assist, support and advocate for all Veterans and their families.”

What we offer

Our services include, but are not limited to: basic food and shelter, housing, advocacy, counseling, peer support, case management, employment and education.

We operate twelve properties throughout Essex and Middlesex Counties that provide affordable housing.

Transitioning out of the military can be extremely overwhelming. Many veterans do not have jobs lined up, housing in place or even access to the healthcare they earned after their service has ended.

For other veterans, the narrative is more complex. They may have struggled with addiction or faced other challenges along the way.

Thank You All

As the month of April 2020 draws to a close, we at the VNOC find ourselves extremely fortunate. None of our VNOC staff members or Veterans under our care have shown any signs or symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. Working closely with the Department of Veterans Services and the VA Bedford Medical personnel, we were able to have 66 Veterans under our GPD programs tested for the COVID-91 virus. All 66 Veterans test results were negative for the virus. I am extremely pleased to take this opportunity...

The National Weather Service in Boston/Norton has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

* From Friday afternoon through Saturday morning

* Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected across southern New England. The heaviest rainfall will occur Friday night into Saturday morning, where locally higher amounts may occur and cause flash flooding.

* Significant flooding of urban areas and small streams is possible.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
